[xep-support] Performance when generating a book with 1000 pages

thank you for your interest in our product.

It greatly depends on layout complexity. Special care shall be 
taken of long tables: their processing takes a lot of memory
and resources in the current version of XEP. The next 
major release will be substantially improved in this respect.

>     How much memory should the machine have ?

At least 512MB.
 
>  -  Is it possible to integrate XEP in our Java code ?

Yes, XEP is designed to be primarily a Java library. It supports 
both SAX and DOM input, and its commercial version includes
API description, Javadoc and samples.
