No my answer, so do NOT give too much weight to its technical part, as I am NOT a technical expert.

1. Legal - administrative answer.
You are welcome to use previous 2.5 version. In fact one of our clients INSISTED they use NO UPDATES when they went from test to production.

2. Technical answer. There should be documentation in 2.7 saying what is - if anything - different from previous version. Other than that please wait for our technical people to answer.
