It is possible you do not have the very latest version. This was caused by a recent enhancement made in RenderX (supporting an entire PDF inserted into another flowing document -- rx:insert extension) and was noted just after release was published. That release was updated online. Perhaps you downloaded during the few days the version with this bug was on the web site.

Please test with the latest you can download from the website.

Hi,

I'm using a DocBook document with an article root element and transformed into XSL-FO with the (original) DocBook stylesheets. This works fine so far. 

However, when I include the same article inside a book, XEP fails to output PDF and prints the following error message (slightly formatted due to better readability):

   (generate [output-format pdf][i]error:
   formatting failed: java.lang.NumberFormatException: 
   For input string: "i"

I've observed with the previous version 4.21 this does not happen.

Any hints?
