Thanks, I was able to use Acrobat to hack out a good copy.  Saved!

Gregg, if you have a copy of Acrobat, you can delete all comments in the
pdf. Not a real solution, of course, but a quick workaround. (I'm
assuming you mean the comment/note/stickie on the first page.)
