Can you tell me what in the Tribune I should be looking at? Is my solution
contained in the "XSL 1.1 New Features" column?

Hi Jerry,

it is not in XSL 1.0. It is in XSL 1.1;  
http://www.renderx.net/Content/xsl11.html, the "RenderX Tribune" example.
