[xep-support] LZW-compressed TIF files corrupt in PDF output

The XEP documentation states that TIF images with LZW compression are
supported; however, when we use such images in our documents, they are
corrupt (skewed and with inverted colors and other distortion) in the PDF
output.

The images are being created with Photoshop 7's default TIF output settings
(I'll be happy to provide a sample upon request). If we create uncompressed
TIFs instead, PDF output is correct.

Diagnosis please?
