[xep-support] problem with markers

I am having problems getting markers to work correctly.
While the marker.fo example works perfectly, on my simple file the last marker for the flow is always retreived even though I specify

<fo:block text-align="center" font-size="9pt">
<fo:retrieve-marker retrieve-class-name="title" retrieve-position="first-starting-within-page" retrieve-boundary="page" />
</fo:block>

Does anyone have any ideas?
