Looking at the archives for this list, I
see that some have had success in getting small caps to appear in their
PDF output (see Thomas Schraitle's Oct 04 2005 message,
"Re:[xep-support] Small Caps").

I'd like to get small caps to work for the Times New Roman font that
comes with Windows (XP in particular).

This font appears to have small caps capability because one can
obtain small caps with it using either Open Office Writer or Microsoft
Word. In addition small caps work in a web page using styles (and
rendering it with either Internet Explorer or Firefox).

I've modified my xep.xml file to include the following in the Windows
TrueType fonts section (and, yes, I've removed the original surrounding
comment markers):

<font-family name="Times New Roman" ligatures="fi
fl">
<font-data ttf="times.ttf"/>
<font-data
ttf="timesi.ttf"/>
<font-data
ttf="timesbd.ttf"/>
<font-data
ttf="timesbi.ttf"/>
<font-data ttf="times.ttf"/>
</font-family>

In looking at the Windows/Fonts directory, I'm not seeing any special
font file just for small caps for Times New Roman, so I've been
using.the times.ttf one.

Has anyone else gotten small caps to work with this font? How did you
succeed?

Thanks,
