Thank you for responding to my question.
I am not able to replicate the same behavior at my end , I still see duplicates.

Is the XSLT Version being used a problem ? I am using 1.0

Hi Bindu,

just refer to attached basic example which collapses the footnotes based on the footnote-body id value.

Subject: [xep-support] to suppress duplicate footnotes

Hi ,

I have an XSL that displays all the footnote for page in the footnote section . My requirement is , if at all there is a footnote-for a specific id and if that id is getting repeated for several other text in the same page then footnote body should not be repeated. How can we solve this problem.

When I googled it I got the below link :

http://www.renderx.com/files/XEPUserGuide.pdf

please refer to Unique Footnotes section where it was mentioned that there will be an id tag for footnote and based on that footnote will be displayed uniquely . But I could not find a working example for the same and even in the fo:footnote or fo:footnote-body I could not get the id attribute.

And I got some more information :

http://mediawiki.renderx.com/index.php/White_Papers/Unique_Footnotes#The_Solution

but when I try to open the pdf and xml inside this link I was asked for credentials. Please let me know whether this is the official renderx website ?

Can you please let us know whether our understanding is correct and provide us the appropriate info which might help us in resolving the issue.

Thanks,
Bindu
