Java 1.8 is tested and supported.

The release of XEP that requires version 1.7 or later is planned for mid
2017.

Thank you for the info Kevin.

When you say java 1.8 is tested will it mean RenderX Team will provide
support as well ?

When is the next release with minimum version of 1.7 being planned and when
will RenderX start supporting it?

Nithin:

Java 1.8 is tested and fine to use. In fact in a future update planned this
coming year, Java 1.7 will likely become the minimum version.

Subject: Tech Stack Upgrade

Hi ,

We are looking for a tech stack upgrade for our application which includes
migrating from Java 1.6 to Java 1.8 . I had a question in this regard is the
latest version of XEP compatible with 1.8 ?

Thanks,
