[xep-support] Float with absolute x and relative y (on same line as where it was found)

Is there a way with RenderX to have a float (containing something akin to line/paragraph/verse numbers) which would always be at the same position relative to the edge of the flow (or the page), irrespective of how deep it is nested in block/block-containers but whose y ordinate would depend on the position where the float is located?
