Hi,

The following problem is already solved. Please ignore it. ☺

The approach I used is to install the Asian language font pack for Adobe Reader and customize the font family in document conversion parameters.

Thanks,
Iris

Hi,

Could you help with my problem below?

I want to use XEP to convert my DocBook or DITA XML files into PDF. The XML Editor I use is XMLmind. The problem I got relates to rendering XML files that are written in Chinese (Asian languages) into PDF.

In the generated PDF file, the Chinese (also Japanese) characters in headings are shown as error codes (small squares as shown below) and the characters in body paras disappear.

The following graphic is for your reference:

Could you kindly advise how to fix this issue?

Best regards and thanks,
Iris
