Eric:

Depending on your requirements, you may also want to look at two other ways
of integrating RenderX.

1) EmMasse is a Python-based controller and load balancer. It can speak to
one of more XEP Engines on one or more threads on one or more machines. It
has three interfaces - hot directory, SOAP/Web Services and TCP. You can
write in any language you wish, send FO to EnMasse and retrieve results in
any output format. EnMasse can spread multiple rendering requests across
rendering threads.

2) VDPMill is a complete application sitting on top of EnMasse via TCP. It
adds splitting large input files and putting back together results. It also
has internal integration points for modifying the rendering stream while it
is being created for advanced manipulation of the stream. VDPMill can be
executed via a GUI, command line or Java API and it also has an XML-RPC
server component that accepts jobs tickets (an XML description of a job --
input, output, splitting, format, etc.). There is a GUI for creating tickets
also.

We recently started integration of VDPMill with Altova MapForce, allowing
you to extract data directly from a database so that you can go from raw
database or large flat file, through VDPMill which splits and sends to
EnMasse chunks of documents for simultaneous formatting, then back through
VDPMill for merging back together in order and applying customizations,
outputting to large single output file.

Eric:

You should download the XEP Connectivity Kit. I have requested a license and
it will be sent to you in a minute. The instructions for downloading are in
the email. It is merely a zip with the Javadoc and several example code sets
and also some sample Java applications like servlet.

I'll re-ask this in case it wasn't clear or something...

Where can I find or how can I get documentation for the XEP Java API,
specifically com.renderx.xep.FormatterImpl?

Thanks,

Eric
