Yes, that works nicely, with


> <fo:block font-family=”berling, SymbolStd”>This is text and β</fo:block>

The nasty bit is that the source (docbook) is missing that
and has nothing to trigger off to add that styling.


Thanks Kevin, though I still think it would help us if
the formatter reported glyphs it couldn't style?
