Hi Karl,

Great job. Yes the issues appears to be with the Symbol.afm font. Making the font actually use "Times New Roman" or "Times" rather than the fall back (Symbol) rectified the issue in both 4.9 and 4.17.
Thanks for your help.

Regards,
Justin.

You didn't receive it because it isn't there. The xep-support group rejected it, as the file attachment was too large. I'll look for your files tomorrow. By the way, just a thought, but have you considered that maybe the font is bad? Can you get another copy of the font and install it?

Hi Karl,
I never received it - and it's not showing up in the archive which is strange! I'll send you some fo when I'm in the office tomorrow. Sorry about the empty regions - I was trying to simplify the example.

Justin,
Have you received previous emails from me with attached FO and result demonstrating that things are working as expected? I've attached the previous emails. Also, can you provide another fo document. I had to make changes to your original because there were problems with empty elements.

Confirmed today that this is still an issue in xep 4.17.
Is there anyone who understands this behavior?

Does this sound like an xep bug?
I can't understand why underline is ok, overline is ok but line-through is not.

Hi,
I've got some fo where I'm using a list block. The text within the list block needs to have strikethrough applied.
To do this I've been using:
text-decoration="line-through"

e.g.
      <fo:list-block background-color="transparent" color="black" line-height-shift-adjustment="disregard-shifts" margin-right="0cm" provisional-distance-between-starts="36pt" space-after="0cm" space-before="12pt" text-align="left">
       <fo:list-item relative-align="baseline">
         <fo:list-item-label end-indent="label-end()" start-indent="0pt">
           <fo:block color="black" font-family=""Times New Roman", Symbol, serif" font-size="12pt" font-weight="normal" line-height="120%" line-height-shift-adjustment="disregard-shifts" text-decoration="line-through">A.</fo:block>
         </fo:list-item-label>
         <fo:list-item-body start-indent="body-start()">
           <fo:block font-family=""Times New Roman", Symbol, serif" font-size="12pt" font-weight="normal" id="Paragraph_0" line-height="120%" line-height-shift-adjustment="disregard-shifts" text-decoration="line-through"> and wish to exchange certain information, which may include confidential, sensitive or proprietary information.</fo:block>
         </fo:list-item-body>
       </fo:list-item>
     </fo:list-block>

However, it appears that with xep 4.9, when used within a list-block text-decoration="line-through" and text-decoration="overline" produce the same output (text-decoration="underline" works correctly).
I've tried this wrapprng the text in an inline and applying the text-decoration there instead of the clock level too.
Any guidance as to how I can get the strikethrough working within the list-block would be appreciated.

I'm attaching a test case and its PDF output.
