DiType includes python, you don't need python to run it.

Have you changed ditype-server/ditype scripts to use your python?
(It is a bug in python 2.5b1. We don't use that version)

The '-s' option means systemId, you also need to specify the input  
file (or send it to the standard input of ditype `cat fname |  
ditype ... ').
