[xep-support] Rendering SVG elements with display:hidden; style

We have several external SVG files that are referenced by our XML files.
The SVG files contain elements that have the display style of hidden set
(e.g., <g style="display:none;">).  When processing the file with XEP
the hidden elements are displayed in the generated PDF file when they
shouldn't be. Is this a known issue? Is there a workaround?
