[xep-support] character dropped from FO output

It appears XEP is dropping this character from the PDF output of my FO
test case:

http://www.fileformat.info/info/unicode/char/ff1d/index.htm

On a side note, if XEP supported EPS images for PDF output, that would
be highly desirable.
