[xep-support] XEP SVG with included bitmaps

I am using SVG images in XEP 3.8
 
Now I notice that when an SVG image has an included bitmap, the bitmap does
not show up in the generated PDF
 
Does XEP 3.8 not support this? And does the new XEP 4 version?
 
I can't find any help on this in the documentation or on the RenderX site.
