Thank you very much for a quick answer, but I think I have not expressed 
myself clearly. I am following the XEP 3 integration routine you refer to 
(although using dbms_java.loadjava).

In the XEP 3 integration routine there are notes about references to test 
classes that cannot be resolved, and for that reason one should not try to 
resolve all classes.

The problem is that it seems that even "com.renderx.xep.FormatterImpl" 
refers to classes that in turn uses these test classes, and so I am not 
able to compile even the Formatter.

I am using Oracle 9.2 which contains Java 1.3.1.

I am not a very skilled java developer, so I may be very wrong about what 
the problem is. In that case, please excuse my lack of knowledge.
