[xep-support] Extended Unicode characters

Hello,
I'd like to know what is the complete set of extended unicode characters
that XEP supports during PDF generation. In particular I need to use
east-europaean characters with non-ASCII hyphens, but even if I put in
the FO code the right XML syntax for unicode characters (&#xHHH; where
HHH is the hexadecimal number taken from www.unicode.org) a lot of them
are not rendered at all.
Any suggestions are appreciated very much.
