Hello Oliver,

A follow-up to my previous message:
I forget to mention that 'text-align' property can have 'inside' and
'outside' values that allows you to align the text with respect to
a page parity.

Best regards,

OB> Hello,

OB> it seems there's no construct in XSLFO to define different contents in the
OB> region-body of a page for even and odd pages.

OB> For example I want to have special blocks that extend the normal block
OB> width. These should be vertically aligned on the inner side of the page:

OB> +----------+ +----------+
OB> | xxxxx | | xxxxx |
OB> | xxxxx | | yyyyyyyy |
OB> | yyyyyyyy | | xxxxx |
OB> | yyyyyyyy | | |
OB> | xxxxx | | |
OB> +----------+ +----------+

OB> Or suppose one wants to create margin notes or icons next to a definition,
OB> example, or note. These should be positioned left from the text on left
OB> (even) pages and right from the text on right (odd) pages.

OB> Do I miss something in XSLFO? (This could well be.)
OB> Does XEP provide an extension for this?

OB> Any pointers will be welcome.

OB> Thanks,
OB> Oliver
