No problem. On the other hand, I expect this will be much more than a
subset of features? Is it right to say that you aim for a conforming static

I agree with this policy. I have no further suggestions. All my current
needs are covered with EPS, and as far as I can see, all my future needs
are covered with the upcoming PDF and SVG support.
