David,
1 - I have not yet seen the problem with 2.7 plus - our new implementation
has a different archictecture but I will place logging code stratigiaclly
and let you know what happens
2 - The images we use are jpegs - for some reason the printer does not like
gifs - (xerox dp180's) - I will talk to the printer tomorrow an get more
data.
As a work around - I create a timeout thread every time an image event
occurs - if after sleeping for 5 seconds the ps call has not returned - my
thraed crashes the psLib with a close call - it then re-starts the post
script generation, there are a limitited number of retries. It's a bit
brutal - if there is a better way to close down the ps thread?
