[xep-support] Getting XEP to Work

I know I'm being really dim but having installed XEP I don't seem to 
be able to get it to run.  I've used the command line instructions 
given in the documentation but it comes up with error messages eg 
main method not found.

Can anyone give me a step by step solution to what I should be doing.
