[xep-support] Combining Type 1 fonts

Hi,
Unicode characters can be mapped to Type 1 fonts through glyph lists. It seems to me
that this is only one part of the problem. The Adobe Glyph List, for example, covers
a large range of characters. The available Type 1 fonts typically don't cover that
complete list. Latin, Greek and Cyrillic glyphs are often in different fonts. It would
therefore be useful to be able to combine several fonts in the Unicode-to-glyph mapping.
A simple solution is perhaps to allow alias names to be reused. When an alias name is
addressed, all fonts behind it could then be merged. The definition order in the
fonts.xml file would be meaningful for resolving overlaps between the fonts.
Regards,
Werner.
